The Story Behind Scenic Road Rides

Founder Roger’s inspiration stems from his own cherished experiences. With him having a profound love for the countryside, Roger recalls him and his mother's yearning for the open landscapes after years of living in the city. Born and raised in the country, he moved to the city of Fayetteville, AR, to attend the university when he was eighteen. After completing college, he went to work in other cities. He worked in Tulsa, OK, Dallas, TX, and Memphis, TN, for years. As he worked and lived in those cities, he came to realize that he felt trapped mentally. He missed the country and the peace it offered.  However, in his early years while working in the cities, he would go home to Arkansas to visit his mother. One of the first things she and he would do is go for a drive or ride along the back country roads just to see the crops, weeds, trees, bushes, and animals that crossed their path.

To this day, he remember looking over toward his mother, and she would always have a smile on her face. He always wondered why, but never asked. He just drove along, looking out and watching the road. It only took one drive out by himself after she passed that he came to know why his mother had that smile. It was the scenery, the smell of fresh country air—just the experience of it all. As of today, he can feel his mother smile when he is riding along country roads. He transformed this sentiment into Scenic Road Rides, a gift that keeps giving. It's not just a ride; it's a chance to relive cherished moments, escape the ordinary, and embrace the present.
